Hi
I've downloaded and installed tipicME on my nokia7650 but it doesnt work.
I'm a java developer myself so i have the nokia emulator installed and tried to run tipicME in it.
That didnt work either, but i did find out what the problem is...
ConnectionNotFoundException: The requested protocol does not exist socket://tipic.com:4440
I've seen this error before when i tried some other java instant messenger programs which do not explicitly claim to run on nokia series 60.
On other websites i've read that the symbian VM does not support socket connections, only http connections.
i had assumed that tipicME would use only http connections..apparently not?
is there any way to enable the usage of sockets on nokia7650?
or am i doing something else wrong??
please let me know..
Arno.
