Hello to all...

I was reading a post that was saying the 9290 has more built in memory then the 9210. Is this true? Has anyone confirmed that nokia's site is correct?

My 9290 is on it's way! If this info is true, it will help me get over the "my version of web browser sux blues"....

Thanks in advance,

Hall

I hate to tell you, but I think you're going to be disappointed. In my experience, you can't run Opera on even moderately complex sites for more than a few links before it dies with the dreaded "Out of Memory" error. Why Nokia decided to exclude the latest Opera version from the 9290 ROM, is completely beyond me.

Don't even get me started about the 9.6kbps connectivity in the US. Talk about a stillborn product...

Oh, well,
-MB

Yeah, One of Tmobile's rep told me that they had "high speed" support for the 9290. When I got it, I couldnt get my wap browser to connect to Tmobiles service so I called tech support.. and guess what happened?

"uhh.. we don't have faster support for this device than 9600" oh well.. wap services arent so bad at that speed.. next to lets say a t300 using gprs wap, its hard to tell much difference. Far as the web browser at that speeds.. oh the pain!

I do wish it was faster.. So what kind of speeds do the rest of the world see on the 9210's? I'm just curious... and jealous! 😊

Thanks,

Hall
