Anyone "power on/off button" facing the problem of pressing deep and hard just to on or off the phone? I have to "pressurize" my button before getting it to work.

Yes. Some members have had that problem. They got it replaced. Power button could have been made a bit more sturdy :-?

I have a very crappy power button (for one)
I just wanted to share that with you.
Good night 😃

Mine is really annoying!! I need to find a solution! My NSC here doesn't fix 7650s (i think) I got it here in my own risk 😃

well mine is the other way around.. even if i press the slightest touch on my power button it still recognizes it.. dont have time to have it repaired.. its not too bothering though coz i always have my keyslocked..

My power button is very annoying too
but when I turn it on/off i press it in a way that I feel it being pressed in
like a proper button or something :P i hear a small TIK sound when I press it like that,do u think thats fine or maby I could spoil the power button?? please let me know ^_^
why the hell did nokia make the power button like this the other voice tag button is perfectly normal why couldnt they make it like that

yes its a shame...
but i would go to NSC,and be realy :bad-words: or even start to be  until they repair it....

im a lucky guy:
my button is still ok,but i was warned from your guys early enough not to touch it too hardly in use.

and my 7650 is until 01.08.02 in use,and i used everyday the powerbutton.

With this community and support, and all the cool programs around, we should never turn it off! 😃 (as a number of users reported to do so)
But what i would really want, is an app that can turn off your phone, sometimes i really need to turn it off, (like when you go into computer class in school, if you get a sms or a call, although your phone is on silent (or vibrate) the speakers on the pc still defect!!! And it will be bye-bye for the phone!) Well that's for me only 😮
GOnna figure a loophole better!! 😃
DON't bring it to school!! (no that wouldn't work 😃)

even for me 😉

i would like realy,if somebody could make any app. like that.

That's common, happens to me and reported by other people too. RUN TO THE NSC!! RUN LIKE THE WIND!! 😃

I've still got the little stick-on plastic cover on my screen. It stops the screen getting scratched and prevents dust getting into it.
I will remove it when it finally starts to get messed up, but right now it still looks perfect. 😉

I think one of the applications does have the option to turn the phone off(one of the file browsers.. if im not too off mark. Dont remember which one, and i dont even have my phone with me 😞 ( or was it to reboot ?)

I have also problems with the Power button, but, I will bring it to be repaired.
It works, but when you expect actions from it related to holding it down...it works only if is pressed in specific way😞

yea a app like that would be great but I hardly turn my phone off I bet allot of you dont too and whats the use of a app that cant turn your phone on (im not sure but i think i read somewhere there was a app in which you set the timer to turn your phone on and off, automatically turns your phone on at the time you set not too sure though)or you could just take the battery out of you dont want to use the power button :P

I'm just worried at the amount of dust that's finding it's way under the screen...[/quote]

Me too.I hate dust.
