profiles/sound themes?

Does anyone know if you can set up/mod to create user profiles/sound themes? I had a motorola phone before where you could easily set up themes that had different settings prescribed to the theme including sound and volume settings.

Eg. you could have "outdoors" where all the ringtones are set to loud, or "meeting where everything is set to vibrate or quiet.

I know that there is the simple button to change to vibrate mode...but it would be nice to be able to assign settings and volume levels to a preset profile.

If my question isn't clear, please tell me to clarify for you...but if anyone know the answer if this is possible or if a mod would do it I would be very grateful.

hi,

not possible on a m600/p990 - SE always leave this off for some reason :/
...and there isnt an app yet to do it 😞

Yeah, Profiles. This has been absent from high-end SE phones since the P900, as far as I know. Maybe even earlier...

And that's unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. But it seems to me that any of the PDA/phone-type devices you can get leave this out. All the WM5 devices I've used lack profile support.

I never had profile and never missed it. I think only those who had profiles once (former Nokia/Motorola users) miss them.

Somtimes it is of course the good things, that you first don't miss, but once you had it you'll never want to miss again, but that's another story 😉

All of the Nokia Smartphones, E series and N series, as well as lower range ones like 5500, 6300 smartphones with S60 3rd ed or S40 etc support multiple profiles and user creatable/customisable ones. I am shocked that the M600i doesn't include it. Similarly I am not happy that the M600i has no "save as homepage" bookmark in the Opera browser. Is this to make the telcos happy?
