7650 - dropped it at least 7 times, yet it survives~

Yes it has a hard shell, there was one time when I got it smashed on the floor. The battery cover and protector for the sim slot came out but it is still in good condition.

Looks like it is well armoured.

Dropped mine from a table, it hit the leg on it's way down. The phone was fine but there's 2 small scratches on the silver paint around the screen where it hit the leg!

The first time it fell while i was playing basketball,surfice:concrete,result:minor scratches on the shell.
Second time: i was runing,fell on the sidewalk and it slid for 6-7 meters.Result:minor scratches on the shell.
The worst thing that ever hapened to the device was when i scratched the screen with my belt while i was trying to wipe it from my t-shirt 😊

My has felt 3 or 4 times on wood floor and on rock floor, in one of the times, he was with th e keypad open, and now sometimes the camera didn't work, but when it happens if i made pressure on the left side of the sim cover it works fine....

Mine fell 3 times already. Twice from my working table, when I moved with the earphones still attached.

The worst it fell was 1.5 M, on the floor, it slipped from my hands, I said S**t, I turned on the light then got it and said, "BUILT TOUGH". 😃

i dropped mine 2 times i think. once was when i went to put in the pocket of the pants and it fell straight to the ground with force. got heavy marks on the top near the infrared and the side. And when i bent down the phone went off the shirt. :cry: . so i was wondering how much would a nokia 7650 body shell come for ? does nokia even give them or havta stay with the scratches all the life...

We already have some housing for 7650 here in the Philippines. So they say.

still haven�t dropped my phone yet 😊 i would rather fall and land on my face, hehe.

again, i think you guys, those dropping their phones, are just lucky. i know of this guy, he actaully works at citibank, 5 days after buying his phone, he dropped it while intending to put it in his pocket. and after that the phone went dead. he went to Globe (Hub) hoping for a replacement (more like a miracle) but when asked what happend he said he dropped it. Globe didnt replace. and the last thing i heard is that they saw this guy crying in one corner. 😃

dropped mine from about 1 m onto concrete. dented the plastic near the charging socket. Phone works OK, but it looks a bit ugly. I suppose it all the luck of the draw. :cry:

I carry my phone with a leather cover just incase If i drop it or something 😮

if u keep the damn phone in the pouch the problem is that u never hear it ringing. and end up gettin all missed calls.

Actually, I think it's the other way round, I think this guy has been unlucky.

Mine bounced on the IR port off a concrete floor and landed about a foot away. Not a single scratch.

well i am lucky, i already had 2 7650's in my possesion. the funny thing is, i was having probs with the first one that i had to return it to my NSC for some they didn't do, although they said they did it.

a day before i intended to step by, i dropped mine from 2 meters, hit the concrete, hit the edge of a sidewalk and what happened?? the upper shell was opened !! 😮

brought it back to NSC, told them that they didn't fixed my phone very well, and luckily i got a new one !! 😃 😃

that's the end of the story!!

You are definitely lucky,five weeks have past and i still dont have my device back.They might liked it at NSC and decided to keep it 😊

Just left my BABY at the NSC. Went to a party on Saturday.FREE BAR ALL NIGHT.after my large amounts of JD an coke an SC an lemonade i walked up to the bar and caught my phone on the corner of a table. The fu%*�n screen smashed. i am now �39.99 out of pocket. everyone seems lucky compared to me

The phone was strewn along about 200 yards of road after being run over by a shed load of cars and the only thing that really survived was the SIM!

Luckily I was insured but it took a month to get a new phone, apparently the phone was with the repair shop being assessed. I imagined a few guys stoned out their heads putting my phone together with superglue and sticking plasters for some reason. 😮

i sometimes forget that my keys are in my pocket
there is now a dirty scratch on the silver around the screen. this ring is already getting transperant because the silver is getting of @ the thin parts.

i've dropped it once. and wanna keep it that way 8)

does any one know how en where i could get such spare parts?

I have a pouch, I use my earphones so that I could hear it ringing. Still, I wish that there is a slot where I could affix a holder or something.

get the original pouch ... very neat and longlasting ... set it to vibrate then u will solve the problem like me hehehe 😃 😃

check out shops in greenhills but those are expensive. your best bet is Semicon, near Sta. Lucia. 😃
