Nokia E61 VoIP problems - 'muted' calls :(

Hey,

I've got the E61 three months ago - and manged to configure my two VoIP providers, sipgate.de and voipbuster.com for usage with my E61. One of them, sipgate, even emphasized that it's service will work with the E61.

Just one problem: either with my home WLAN router (Zyxel Prestige P660) and when I use public hotspots, I can register with both of the VoIP services, make an outgoing call, hear the ringtone, but when the other party answers, just SILENCE. Sounds like someone 'muted' everything. With both providers.

Any idea what can this be and how it can be solved?
I use the Firmware rev. 1.0610.04.04 19-04-06 RM-89 and I am not able to update it, since I have a T- Mobile "branded" phone. It seems to operate to the fullest despite the branding.
By the way, even I am close to the WLAN router, my phone tells me 'medium' signal strangth. Seems to be impossible to get a 'good' connection.

So... Any idea about the VoIP issue?

I have used Sipgate on my E60 with both the old and new firmware and never experienced the problem that you describe. I don't know what to suggest to you.

Thanks for your reply anyway. Seems like everything is configured correctly. It's my crappy ADSL internet connection here in Thailand which is not fast enough to 'carry' VoIP...

Cheers,
