E60 apps question

I was wondering if there's a browser with FTP support, or a FTP client for S60v3 like yFTP was for S60?

I was also wondering if there's a way to play video files in the phone's native (426x352) resolution. I've been using SUPER encoder, trying both 3GP and MP4 containers. The 3GP works fine, but the picture is only sharp in portrait mode, after swithing to landscape the picure is forcibly resized and look ugly. This is due to SUPER only supporting up to 352x288 resolution. After that, i tried using MP4 container, using various codecs from XviD, MPEG-4 to H.264 in 416x352. However, after trying to play the file in RealPlayer, the message "can't open file, trying to open partially" (or something simillar) was shown, and after a second or two it only started playing the sound. So i was wondering if it's somehow possible to convince RP to start playing these files.

BTW, i've also tried SmartMovie and DivXPlayer, but they both seem to suck on this phone. SM was skipping frames all the time, even at lower resolutions, and DXP was just a mess, having audio never in sync with video.

I have also used both Super (always crashes) and Mobile Divx (sound is not good). I finally switched to Media Studio for Nokia 3.5. It does a great job of converting files for all E series phones and uses RealPlayer.

FWIW, I also downloaded and installed the newest version of Super and have fabulous luck w/converting both large and small video files and have never once had it crash in about ~50 conversions. Took me a while to get the best possible settings down and here's a thread I created with some more detail on how I did it. I think one could lower the audio quality to achieve smaller output files w/o much of a drop off in audible quality but when I first started out my volume was almost inaudible so I erred on the side of too much audio quality. I later found a settings under the video options (good place for audio settings :icon13: ) that allowed for more volume and just haven't gone back to see how much I can lower them based on the settings I list in the above mention thread.

Give it a try and see what you come up with.
