Nokia have added a number of user agent profile files to their website including ones for the as yet unannounced Nokia E61i and Nokia E65 models. Careful reading of the user agent profiles reveals that both devices run on S60 3rd Edition on Symbian OS 9.1. The E61i appears to be a tweaked version of the E61. Changes from the E61 include the addition of a camera and a change to the MicroSD memory card format. Read on for more.

It seems like the E61 is intended for businesses, so they left out the camera, but is doing really well with consumers, and the E61i is an attempt to cater to ordinary people buying the E61 for themselves by adding the camera.
Is there any realistic hope that Nokia will put FP1 onto existing E-series phones as part of a firmware update?

I seem to remember Tommi from S60.com posting in his blog that FP1 can't be put on existing phones for various technical reasons, it has to be on the phone right from the beginning.
I could be completely wrong, but I think that's what he said.
