hi all all the software i download comes in rar file. when i put them on my memory card my phone gives me a questin mark and says file not allowed can anyone help?

It is another file archive/packaging format just like .zip, etc. You need to find the right program to unarchive/unpackage it first.

Note that for some strange reason or another most phone apps distributed as .rar files are not legal, but illegally distributed commercial apps that the developer expects you to pay for.

I've never tried to figure out why that's the case, but usually truly and legally free apps, or commercial apps are distributed as .zip files, .sis or .sisx files or .jar files, but almost never as .rar files.

What he said 8-) You'll have to unpack the file first on the PC with a third party utility. But if the app is cracked commercial software, please don't bother - the chances are that you'll be installing something that includes malware or will compromise your device in some way.
