SMS on AAS

I am just wondering, if AAS already has a customer base for advertisers to look into, then maybe we all could send SMS to each other. Since SMS costs per sending, I just hope that we could have a per country local SMS centre to send messages to and AAS will send it to other countries.

We could send SMS, MMS to each other for free! 😃

Have you *any* idea the cost that would involve? Even assuming a network gave you cut price SMS (say 0.5p) then one SMS round the forum would be around 16. And you can forget about MMS - at the moment it's free on UK networks (subject to I think a max of 50 a day) but then it;'s the Networks next big hope to make money.

What *may* be possible is the infamous newsletter also delivered via MMS, but I doubt 'chat' and 'free sms/mms' is something AAS will ever do.

(You could try http://www.locust.co.uk/ for SMS though)

The free messaging movement fell through last year because mobile networks realised they weren't getting any money from it, so started charging the other networks to send messeges to people on their network. This effectively makes pointless amounts of cash flow between network operators, but effectively stops anyone who ain't gonna pay sending messages.

Ok so what if we have sponsors... Say for instance...Marks and Spencer...we buy clothes from them and in return, they give us coupons for which we could avail of the special MMS messages. This is just a way that their advertisement paid through...

I don't think that the customers should always pay. I think that we could let the money go around to our advantage.

It's a huge amount of money...but they spend HUGE amount on advertising!

G, I do not think so eigther.. I mean it will take some time until we all will free SMS each other. But it will be nice to have it. Anyhow, too mutch toys ruins the playing pleasure...
Until next, I try to get in the chat mood.

Since we are sharing pictures, why not share mobile numbers?
