Is there a freeware, decent repacement for realplayer for the E61. when using most themes colours bleed through the video and it is most annoying.

What do you mean by "bleeding"? I've never witnessed such a thing on my E61.

I watch videos all the time with RealPlayer and have also never experienced this "bleeding" through. It sounds like a problem with your phone to me.

bleeding is where the background colour is seen through the video as it is played.
