And i'm allmost crying... The P800 supports outgoing SMTP authentication! That is what MANY 7650 owners has wished for (me inclusive..)
Bye bye 7650....

What can you do with outgoing SMTP authentication, if you don't mind my stupidity  😉 :-?
with SMTP authentication - you can use allmost any SMTP server you have an account on. Many SMTP servers are blocked for outgoing mail - from "unknown" IP's due to spam.
But with SMTP authentication - then you use your username and password and send through many SMTP servers out there (if you got an account anyway.)
The 7650 does not support Smtp authentication. .... So for me to send mail - I need to change the SMTP server dependent on where in the world i am. So when using sprint networks - i need the sprint SMTP server setup - on the local sonofon - i need theirs. Now I DONT need to change anymore - and use the company mail server for all my in/outgoing mail.
your gprs network provider does have an open relay smtp server, use that one.
that does not help if you travel around like I do.. USA+Europe = 12 different SMTP servers - and you need to modify each time...
