Hi Guys,

Just updated my N73 to media edition, however i dont have my three internet settings anymore.
I used to have the x-series which had all the (msn messanger, skype, yahoo etc...)
Anyone know how i can obtain these again?

Help appreciated

Thanks

Go to Applications, Web, settings. Change default web settings to;

Access Point: 3

Homepage: http://mobile.three.co.uk/hb/hutchkey

Then go to Planet 3 with use of homekey "0".

go to "Internet", you will skype, ebay, messenger, Yahoo Go etc

just click each one and download.

ONE BIG PROBLEM though!!! as I have exactly same problem is that MSN wont finish download because it cant verify security certificates as generic firmware doesn't have 3G Hutchinson Whampoa certificates!. Ebay is ok and so is Yahoo, not sure about Skype though.

I dont think there is any way around this as I have been on loads of forums looking for answers!.

I think only way is to revert phone back to "3" product code (0541479) and flash "3" firmware! which I dont want to do!!!

Try using the msn from here:

Seems that it works.

It works and many people have tried it with 3.

It should be in english when installed as i've seen on some of the screenshots.

This is the direct link to the file.

Thanks mate......Just tried it, doesn't install in english though, I think it installs it in chinese as the words just come up as boxes with no text!

Hi all
The MSN Messenger doesnt work from the chinese site. We have to download it from 3, but I keep getting a certificate error. It seems that as said previously, that the 3G Hutchinson Whampoa certificates are gone and it wont install.
Does anyone have the 3 firmware as I want to put it back on :s
Cheers
Craig

What about taking it into the local Nokia center they should be able to flash with the 3 generic

Worth a try 😊

Like Moosa19, I changed my product code and upgraded my N73 on 3 UK to the ME Edition.

I lost all my settings, and even when going through the relevant links on the 3 mobile page, when downloading, I got a certificate error when trying to install.

I contacted 3 about this, who basically couldn't help and said I would just have to wait until their generic firmware was updated.

I also cannot download any games from 3 (out of my 5 monthly X Series allowance), which basically renders the package i'm paying for useless...

As people have said on here, even though you can change your product code back, NSU won't re-install firmware that is older, so anyone on 3, I would advise not to upgrade until 3 update their firmware!

I've got an idea:
Attempt the download, then init the installation.then before it says certificate validation failed, use a file browser to copy C:/Nokia/Installs/WhateverMsnIs.sisx to a different directory.
You then should have the MSN installer...
After such, you should then be able to install it by manually launching the sisx file, and it'll prompt you that it may be unsecure instead of just being a bastard.

Has anyone tried the above? Or found a way round this?

I got the same problem, flashed my n73 to ME without doing my research...
