I've just installed tomtom 6, which is working great - only problem is that if I accidentally press the hang-up key, the whole application exits and I can't get back in without a full application re-load.
I've tried pressing and holding the Application button to bring up the list of running applications, but tomtom's not listed (just the standby app).
There must be a way around this - anyone?
Dave.
nope if you close it its gone! on older s60 phones like the 6680 the red button put it into the background, on the n80 it closes it. (the developer of the software can make it so the red button puts it in the background, but usually they dont, i presume nokia made apps close as default and probably did this as people who have smartphones without realising quickly fill the memory and dont know why).
if you ever do want to put something into the background tap the menu button twice, other than that stop pressing the red button and be glan ttn6 loads a lot quicker than ttm5 did on the 6680 etc!
Wow - that sucks - thanks for the reply though!
Dave.
There is an app named "No Red Close" it gives u an option to disable the red button, u can use that. I'm not too sure if its available for s60v3 as i had tried it on my N70 which was the first phone in which the Red Key lost its option to minimize an app. Search for it on Google, you'll find it.
Noredclose is over here: http://my-symbian.com/s60/software/applications.php?fldAuto=1772&faq=2
It's not been ported to v3. I've left a message for the author that I'm interested in the app for N80.
