Works well! Aim for the bar code so it fills the screen and let the camera zoom and focus properly. This may take a few seconds and good lighting always helps. The bar code information is then extracted into a text field that you can save if you want.
Have tried it on non standard bar codes, with no success. Works fine with barcodes found on most grocery products and all 2D barcodes I've seen.
