e61; Updated - No Voice Dialing

Hello everyone, glad I found this forum.
Did a bit of searching, but didn't come across a similar thread - any help is appreciated:

I recently got the e61 - yesterday I updated, things work swell - even wifi, which was iffy before- EXCEPT that now voice dialing simply doesn't work.

Voice COMMANDS work fine. I just can't dial by name. After speaking it just stops and returns to the standby screen.

The only thing I can think is that I have too many contacts (360+)

This happs both using the phone or the BT headset.

BEFORE the upgrade, voice dialing only worked for those people to whom I had given nicknames.

Any ideas?

Great, this is exactly the problem I need.

There doesn't seem to be any way to disable voice dialing, which is a bit iffy given that the tags are assigned automatically. So I occasionally end up calling people, especially ones with short names or nicknames, when I have a BT headset in my pocket.

Do post if you figure out the cause.

Hi,
For me the voicedailing is still working after the ROM upgrade on my E61. I have about 700 contacts and it works great using or the bluetooth headset or the phone.
There must be something else wrong.

Hi.

On my E70 I had same symptoms after the upgrade.

I then changed phone language to something else, and then back to english.
This fixed the No Voice Dialing problem for me.

Hope this helps everyone with the same problem.
