ive come across sites (https) that require internet explorer or netscape so dont allow access, is there anyway that this can be tricked into thinking that the 9210 is using it?

This is usually done in code by the website designer, probably because they are some kind of fascist. Only way to trick it would be to have the 9210 identify itself as IE, and I don't think there is an option to do that. Opera on the other hand should have that option, but I haven't tried it on my 9210 yet.
