As Steve says in the video itself, you shouldn't literally swim underwater with the 5500, but you should be able to use it in a heavy rain storm or drop it in a bucket with no problems.
In case you missed it, a Russian website filmed their 5500 being dropped from 20 feet, buried in a garden, dunked in milk, beer and water, held under a tap and run over by a car, and the phone still worked.
