You probably do have the latest version of your network providers branded version of the firmware. You need to change your product code on the phone to that of a generic model using a program like Nemesis Service Suite (NSS) and then run NSU again.

Use the search function of the forum. There is loads of detailed stuff about this on here and all very recent too.

Thanks for your answer, i have reasearche some more but i now have the following questions:
1-I downloaded the NSS software but it is the beta, is that ok?
2-I read I needed the program "gsm-magic" but the link provided to me had been revoed from rapidshare so can I have another link please?
3-I have a N73 on 02 UK, I don't know what product code to change mine to and what code should I change it back to so I can keep my Warrantee

1. Yes, it's fine.

2. Sorry, I don't know.

3. You need to find the EURO1 product code (0537289). That's the one for the UK. Your existing product code is on the slver label underneath the battery.

4. ??

Thank u so much for your help. I have upgraded firmware to ME. Does it support memory cards up to 2gb or 4gb?

Good news 😊

As for card sizes, AFAIK, it's still a 2GB limit, although I haven't tried anything larger myself. I have a 2GB card, and have TomTom Navigator 6 with GB map plus Major Roads of Europe map installed, plus about 12 games and many other apps like Sky+ Remote Record, Calcium, MSN Messenger, DivX Player and more and still have 1124 music tracks (M4A) with album art and I still have room for about 100 pics at the highest resolution. I think i have about 60MB left free ! LOL

But, if 4GB cards do work, let me know 😉

Sky say that the N73 isn't suitable for Sky+ Remote Record, and it's not on the list of compatible phones. How'd you manage it??

I use the java app designed for the Sony Ericcson 😉 Works a treat 😊
