Help...

I have had issues with my 61 including the following:

1. Turn the phone on and it is always trying to install software
2. Applications that once existed are no longer installed
3. Applications that once existed are missing from the app. mgr.
3. Applications that I reinstall unistall after the phone is powered off and turned back on.

I was running on the original software so decided this would be a good time to upgrade. All went well with the upgrade itself except that all the issues above still exist and now it hangs when I try to reinstall Papyrus. Prior to the upgrade Papyrus worked fine and was stable.

Any ideas?

Happy New Year!

I would backup my data only (calendar, contacts, etc. and any documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc) and then format both the phone and the memory card. Then reinstall everything. It's a little bit of a pain but whenever I do a firmware upgrade I always also reformat the memory card as well and start everything from scratch. I fine the phone runs better and faster and it eliminates problems such as you described.
