Happy new year everyone
I start with a problem with my n80. I did a firmware update about 1 or 2 months ago and now I just wanted to check if there is anything new. So I downloaded the newest versions of PcSuite and Nokia Software Updater, installed them and when I run Nokia Software Update it gets stuck at "Detecting Your Phone".
Everything installed fine, no warnings, no problems. The phone is connected in data mode via usb cable, fully charged and still the NSU doesnt go past the detecting my phone stage. Any clues what I am doing wrong or what I can do?
Nokia Software Updater problem
The phone must be connected on PCSuite mode. Could be that...
I tried in both ways, also in data mode and also in Pcsuite mode. In the help files of NSU it said in order to update the software it needs to be in data mode. I'm clueless of what I can. I rebooted both the pc and the phone, nothing seems to do. It just says detecting forever..
How do you install the new PCSuite? Over the old one? PCSuite can be upgraded that way. It must be uninstalled first, then install the new one.
I didnt have pcsuite installed on this particular computer (it`s a new rig), so everything was fresh installed.
Im running NSU now and it went over that stage with detecting, and now it`s stuck at "Searching for a connected phone", but yet again, after 15 minutes of waiting nothing happens.
Could you backup the phone, format with *#7370# and try again NSU!
Format is out of the question.Maybe someone could tell me what is the latest firmware released for n80? I currently have v 4.0623.0.41 26-07-2006 rm-92 nokia n80 (02)
Last one: RM-92 V 4.0623.0.42;
Could you redirect me to a link where I can read the release notes?
