Installed the N73 version on my E61. It forces installation on the phone memory, you can't choose to install it on the memory card. The application launched fine, i entered my username and password but couldn't find any access point settings in the settings. It always asks for the access point everytime it needs to access the network. Whenever it needs to access the network, it always asks for the access point twice (in fact, it seems that it does all the network requests twice).
Then... then that's it. I couldn't find any way to try out the application. There doesn't seem to be any free channel or trial period. If you want to see how it works (or even, if it works), you must buy a subscription first. And given the really poor quality of the demo on their web site, you're not really tempted to buy a monthly subscription without having had a chance to try it first. Nice try but no thanks.
Actually there is a demo channel. Just choose "Activate Channels"... connect to an access point.... then you will see a single icon called "Live"....choose that and you will see two more folders, one is called "Demo" and the other is "Premium".....Choose "Demo".
The demo is just a broadcast of channels you can get from the service. I'm quite surprised at well it works and why i haven't tried it out before. The interface is quite nice, but those with better screens than my N91 will appreciate it better. Not much great choice of channels, in fact i'd only be interested in classic cartoons and ITN, but i can get cartoons free on zoovision.com and freebe.tv.
First impressions are good so far.
I've done that, selected my wifi access point but the Live folder remains empty. Could it be that it only works if you use a GPRS access point? That would be really stupid. But since they say on their web site that their service only works on certain networks of certain countries, it looks like it's the case. Even worse than i thought.
I used wifi. I'm in the uK, I don't know where you are but maybe its region specific.
I'm in the UK too. I don't understand. I'll try again tonight.
