Rotating videos by 90degrees

Hi - has anyone managed to rotate n80 mp4 video files 90 degrees so head-tilting can be avoided when viewing on a PC?

Quicktime Pro 7.1 just puts out a blank video but keeps the audio..

TIA

Thanks - that seems to work for on the fly viewing, but I'm after an 'editor' which can make the change permanent prior to archiving? Unless I'm missing a 'save' option withing VLC?

Have a look for something called virtualdub. That should do what you want but it's not exactly user friendly.

Thanks. Virtualdub can't handle MP4s, so I used a 'MP4Cam2avi' which converts to AVI first. Virtualdub filters can then be applied. Interestingly the output filesize is about 1/6th the original but the quality seems ok (pretty poor in the original TBH). Quicktime can't play the resulting audio but other mediaplayers seem ok.

The process works but isn't exactly a one-click solution.
