Loads of reviews rate this phone. And i've love to have one. Just wodnering what actual users of this phone thinks.

My current phone (htc tytn) has a lot of issues and so im on my 3rd one, and giving up.

So i'm thinking about getting the E70. However, theres a few things not answered on the reviews i've seen.

I was just wondering how sturdy the wing is is? And if its really slow, or fine for what it is? Is the joystick reliable? Is the screen slow to change from landscape to portait? Does it feel like a brick, or is it fine?

I'm guessing the battery life lasts long than the day or two my tytn does!

Erm.. i think thats all i was wondering about! Thank in advance! :icon14:

I bought an E61 and an E70 at the same time to compare them against my Blackberry. I sold the E70, but kept the E61.

The E70 is a very nice phone though. The flipper is very solid and the inside keys are great -- nice and big and very well laid out. I have always liked this style of flip phone, I still have its 2 previous little brothers, the 6820 & 6822. The phone is very solid.

My BIG complaint is the very poor front keypad. The keys are very narrow and difficult to read if you have the silver model due to low contrast between the silver paint and the very faint light blue keys. The black version, available only in USA, is much easier on the eyes but works on 850 rather than 900mhz.

There is a bit of delay when opening the phone and waiting for the screen to reformat, but only a second or two. You need good eyes for this phone however, since the resolution is so high that the fonts, especially in Messaging, are very small.

It is worth noting that the reception strength is much weaker than the E61. This seems to be a condition shared by all the Nokia flipper phones. My older 6820s are terrible indoors as well.

I have been an E70 user for the past 7 months and rate it highly. It's the swiss-army knife of phones. Reasonable size, battery life and weight. Excellent connectivity (WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth) and a useable web browser. Good media features, good business features and a qwerty keyboard you can choose to use or fold away!

I have previously owned a Nokia 6630, 6680, SonyEricsson P800, P900 and T610. The E70 is the best of the lot.

Hi, I bought both E61 and E70, and after heavy use of both phones I sold the E61 and kept the E70. What I especially like about the E70 is the excellent 2MP camera and the excellent one handed use as a normal cell phone for voice calls. The flipped open keyboard is somewhat strange at the first moment, but one gets used to it and then it works like a charm, much better keyboard than E61 IMHO.

I posted a comparison on my blog mobiles-leben.ch.

Thanks guys! My 1st choice is the E70, and if i can get a bargin on the E50, that will be my other phone!

Glad to hear the wifi is good and the wing is sturdy!

I'm sure the front keypad wont be too bothersome, as i'll mainly be using the qwerty.
