Updating the firmware will completly reset it...
Or if you have the current firmware, switch the phone on while holding green, *, and 3. Keep it held until the startup tone plays and then you will be asked for your country of choice...

It will be as new, but with the firmware that you had when you did the reset.
What firmware are you on? If there is a newer firmware than the one you are on, then just update to the new one. If however you are currently on the newest version, a hard reset appears to be all you can do.
