I am quite new to theme creating, yet i have learned a bit and have now almost reached my "dream theme" which fits the exterior of my (modified) Nokia 3230, has the wallpaper that i want and also the icons that i want.
I got there by taking bits and pieces from various themes, added a few own ones (clock etc) and combined that, using Theme Studio 1.2 (because 2.0 won't run on my poor computer).
The theme works fine! Except one item which i can't get to work, i just can't figure it out:
The "New Grid Highlight", which is a nine-piece-bitmap plus mask.
I have taken all nine pieces from a theme which works (inclusive that grid highlight!) perfectly on my phone. I combined them to a "new grid highlight" in TS, added mask (to get the "rounded corners" effect), saved, created .sis file - fine, no problems.
Installed it in my 3230 and my boyfriend's N70.
In MY phone, the grid highlight doesn't show! Instead only the black frame, as if there were no grid highlight in the theme. BUT on that N70 it works fine, just as it should!
So i made another one, the ordinary "Grid Highlight" (first box, one-piece-bitmap) but for this item, TS does not give me a "mask" option, it can not be clicked...... so i have no rounded corners. My theme now contains both the single-piece "grid highlight" and the nine-piece "new grid highlight" - and on my 3230 only the ordinary one works, while on the N70 still the "new" one works! Same sis file installed on both phones......
BUT the theme where i got the nine-piece item originally from, THAT works on my 3230 perfectly, rounded corners and all! So it's not my phone's fault, other themes with such "grid highlights" work as well.
Then why not the one i made..??
Can anyone here advise me on what to do to get it to work, using only TS 1.2? Is it possible at all..?
I hope for an answer.... it drives me nuts!
