Blinking Blue LED!!

12 replies · 10,446 views · Started 09 January 2007

I have read the manual! Really I have!
I can't find the reason for the blue flashing LED next to the front cam. It has a mind of its own. Flashing for a few minutes. Off for a few.
Now my wife will not let me bring my N73 to bed with me!

A have bluetooth off. I have a N71-1 X series from 3.

Am I just being stupid?:con?

Ok. Now I have learned to use the Forum search the answer is found.

The blue flash lets me know that the phone is still on after it switches to sleep mode. So it gets sleep; but now I don't. Ehm? Is that fair?

Nice searching skills 😃!! As for the LED .. i had the same issue. It was so annoying!!! So, now I just face it down in my kleenex box 😊 ... no scratches and I sleep happy.

im more concerned madman91 has a box of Kleenex next to his bed 😮 😃

thanks guys that sorted me 73 out 😊

now just have to get the blue LED off my desktop base and my bedroom's a blue light free zone!!

So its not only me who gets annoyed by this at night !!

I have also adopted the upside down approach lol

I once had a Motorola A925, which has a blinky light on - moto made much better use of it though... the specifics of what I'm about to say might be wrong, but it's roughtly right:

flashing orange : 2G coverage
flashing green: 3G coverage
alternating orange/green : event requiring attention (missed call, messsage, reminder etc)

I just thought I'd share that bit of information for no particular reason. Wish nokia would do it though, I can't be the only person who turns the screen on every hour or so just to make sure I've missed nothing?

Blue light is the sensor to save the battery power, it checks the room light and based on the lighting conditions screen contrast adjusts to save battery power. Its great feature for more battery life.

In sleep mode.. we dont use phone.. so if keep the sleep mode light will stop checking the lighting conditions..
