tomtom 6 install problem n80

Hi, I putchased tomtom 6 navigator software from ebay. I have tried to install it on my N80, but every time I install it and look at the files, they have a question mark by them and when I try to open the two main files, it says "unable to open file". Can anyone help me please, I'm pulling my hair out.

Which version of the tom tom software have you got?

ebay reference number may be of help as well

Hi, sorry been away for a few days. All I know is it's tomtom 6 on a CD, sorry don't have ebay ref now.

Hi, what firmware have you got, as you need v4 to run the tomtom 6 on your phone, hope this helps you, and it wont run on an orange branded n80.

Brian, p-s i have tomtom 6 working fine on my n80, was on orange and upgraded to latest firmware, nokia generic v4

mine is the same, it just will not install. ive reformatted the card and started again a number of times. and yet it installed on my mates n80 absolutely fine!

im on v4 N80 IE

Maybe it's the Navigator program, it might be for S60 2nd Edition . I thought they only recently updated their software to work with the 3rd Edition.

Sounds like you may have an illegal copy (they often are on eBay). If thats the case then this sort of thing is impossible to solve. You can try contacting TomTom as there support is usually OK.

Having similiar problem Tomtom 6 will not install and up to press tomtom tech support have been most unhelpful including one suggestion of read the manual
