Upgrade Firmware - Keep Settings?

3 replies · 1,919 views · Started 11 January 2007

Hi guys,

I have read all about the changing product code to upgrade my fimware (Australian Three Branded phone) but what I cant seem to find the answer to is that if i back up my phone and do the change code and update (probably to Internet edition), and then restore my phone, will it keep all my settings to access Planet 3, My Account, etc? Or is there another way to keep all these settings, as I can't seem to find them on Three's site?

Cheers

Martin

Restoring the backup will put everything back to how it was, even puts all the text messages back in the inbox.

Thanks heaps mate I just did the update to IE and got all my settings back OK.

IE seems much better than Threes stupid branded firmware 😃

Just remember, Nokia PC Suit don't back up your WAP bookmarks if you plan to upgrade the firmware.

This is stupid.. I think I'll start saving for the iPhone 😉
