I've installed all of the fonts into my 9210i, but everytime I send a fax the writing on the cover page is in MortalCombat4 style :x :x :x
I've tried to change the font from the menu but it doesn't make any difference whatsoever!
This is very annoying and very unprofessional when a fax is sent for business purposes.
:fadein: :fadein: :fadein: Does anyone have any ideas why this has happened?
😞
😃
try to move MK4 font to D:\System\Fonts, maybe it will solve the problem!
Good luck 8)
I've already tried this and its does not make any difference!
It only goes back to the normal font setting if this font is removed!
:-?
Try writing it with word and after sending it as a fax... :-?
The problem is not with the document written in word, as I've written the fax in word and changed the font to New Times Roman, but its when you have a fax cover sheet (showing your address etc...), the font's on this are changed to Mortal Kombat, but they look the same when typing the fax but when viewed in the preview fax option they are back to the Mortal Kombat font, and this font cannot be changed! :x
Just like the contacts fonts, when I print these out they are also in the Mortal Kombat font also the caller log! 😞 😞
Ok,now I get it... 😮ops:
It is indeed a strange thing to happen. 😮
I,ll think over it. i don't have any ideas now. Sorry! 😞
I'II be waiting for any assistance available!
Until someone can shed light on why this might happen, your best bet is to just remove the font for the time being.
rename this font ! and tell us if works. i get in this and it works for me...
I only have a 9210 (v4.13), but maybe the following info might help you as well:
I also had problems with getting it to pick up the fonts properly after installing extra (Windows compatible) ones in D:\System\Fonts. Try renaming the font file from <whatever> to zz-<whatever> so that it's at the end of the alphabetical font list in that directory. Then reboot the handset without the memory card so that it picks up the default Symbian font set normally first, & then put the memory card back in & that should add in the extra fonts without nobbling the Symbian ones. You may need to reboot it again with the card in - I can't remember offhand.
I've tried renaming them and it does not work :x , I've tried to install them last and this makes no difference whatsoever!
Pissed off I am! HELP?
I have tried this, it makes no difference 😞 😞 :x 😞
Format your 9210. Tou have no options left...Backup your data and format it...
