SMS transfer from Nokia 6630 to N93

I have just changed to an N93 and also changed networks as well - goen from Orange to O2.
I have around 80 SMS (not in the Inbox but in My Folders/Saved) that i really could do with on my new phone. I copied them from my phone using the PC Suite to my pc and then thought i'd be able to transfer them to the N93 - no such luck. I have them on the memeory card on the N93 but they are .VMG files and the N93 wont open them.

Any one any ideas how i can get them back into a new folder within the text messaging system on the N93.

cheers

I have just the same problem. I've a backup file from my old 6260 with more than 1400 sms, I thought I could restore that backup into my N93 but I can't even open backup file with PC Suite last version (I don't know why) and the old PC Suite won't work with N93 so... I'm pretty stuck. In the old time I used to copy the //SYSTEM/MAIL directory to the memory card and then set the messages to be stored in it, that way I was able to save my messages trought 7650, 6600, 6260 an N90 but with N93 that folder no longer exists and messages are stored in an other way.

Whatever I find out I'll let you know....

has a solution been found to the Nokia 6600 messages being restored to a nokia N93 yet? im sitting with the same issue

Not yet mate. I not sure it is possible with the current software, not without losing your currently stored messages.
