Accidental Deletion of Data, Apps

Hi,

I recently upgraded my existing mobile to the 5500. I did a lot of research and I am loving this phone. But this is my first Nokia phone and I am getting accustomed to the new key layout and functionality.

Now the problem I have is with the 'C' key. When I am in a contact and I press the C button, it asks for deletion of the contact. Similarly when I press the C button on any application it asks for removal of the app. Many a time, me or my friends have accidentally deleted something by pressing Yes to the confirmation without reading properly. If I delete it its ok, but if the phone is not with me then I cannot find out what has been deleted.

Is there any way to disable this feature or is there any way to configure the mobile to ask me a passcode while doing any sort of deletion. Is there any software available to help me with this issue?

Thanks in Advance,
Kuku.

Not 100% sure, because I have not tested removing apps with c, but I think You can only delete a file or an icon with it. So it should not remove app? If it does, this is a thing that has to be fixed.
As You know apps are normally removed from App mgr. -> select app -> left select -> choose remove.
Still, if You delete accidentally by clicking c You have to confirm it. I guess You have used enter between the diagonals...it is same as left selection. Meaning ok. Right selection key=cancel.
Perhaps there is a program or a way to unable this c deletion. If Ill find one, post into this thread.
Id like to know if this is the same for other phones too?

Yup, it does delete the entire application, similar to app manager->remove, and not just the icon. Of course it asks for the confirmation but still I would like to disable this feature. Both for applications and in the contacts also.

I'm surprised there is no software/application available that prevents this.
