orange just sent me a replacement N73 with new firmware V3.0638.0.0.1 30-10-06 RM-133 Nokia N73 (30.2). now my parrot 3400 car kit keeps crashing and also disconnecting and then connecting for no reason, also some handset calls have got an uncomfortable echo and breaking in and out crackle my friend told me to get the phone flashed over to get rid of the orange rubbish they put on it but I run line 2 on it as well so I got to keep orange. Anyone else had these problems ?

You dont need the orange software on your phone to be able to switch between lines.
I have the internet edition software on my normal n73 which I did via nokia software updater, its not customised to any network, but if I hold down #, then it changes the line.
The bluetooth could be a software problem, I know nokia are having problems with bluetooth connections dropping in the 1st version, but apparantly in v3 they rectified it.
The calls echoing I cant imagine it is a problem with the software, if its happening with all calls even though they are not on hands free, could be your microphone, it is a new handset isnt it? Might be that.
thanks for that nicelad but pushing #now turns me on silent and then pushing again puts me back to general when before it changed my line 1 and 2 also before in my call settings there was a line in use flag where it could be changed and it's not there now also as I said you cannot phone line 2 either. So the line 2 on my N73 is lost. Just got a mate round and I put my sim in his 6680 and my line 1 and line 2 works as it should in that.He won't lend me his phone for monday,( I thought he was my friend !! )
I failed to mention that I downloaded the V3.0649.0.0.1 30-11-2006 RM-133 (c) Nokia N73 (01) ME version to my orange phone and it is that, that has stopped my line 2 working.I must find a way of getting the orange firmware back so that my line 2 will work. Can anyone help me please ?
