Nokia 6630 memory problem

hello all

i have a nokia 6630 with memory card 64MB the one included with it.my problem is the memory card space isnot read correctly.I have the used space on the memory card 42MB while all the files size on it is only 22MB.I noticed this same problem on other friends mobiles.Is this waste of space is normal?
I want to purchase a new 1GB memory card.But if i got it will i find 300+MB also wasted or what?

I had a 6630 with 1Gb card, and with 1Gb of space. Check the firmware and upgrade to the last version, because the phone works well with most of cards.
