wifi for emails?

hi,
i have tried sending an email to home web address from my n80, when i sent it i got the usual charge from orange, but i did receive the email.
as i was about to send it it asked me my, the phones, email address????

can i set the phone up to send emails by hopping onto a hot spot?
do i need a new folder other than orange email ?etc.

Have you tried setting up another mail account on the phone, selecting the wlan connection rather than the orange connection as your way of retreiving and sending?
