Firstly, i need to say, yes i have looked at every single webviewer thread there is on this forum and it still doesn't help me.

Each time i try and go on the web via this program, it says ERROR -20019, all the time. I am on T Mobile UK and have made the Ip address 0.0.0.0, infact here are the settings i'm using if it'll help

Connection name: t mobile gprs NO IP
data bearer: gprs
access point name: general.t-mobile.uk
user: user
prompt password: no
password: pass
auth: secure
gateway ip: 0.0.0.0

advanced

phone ip address: dynamic
primary: 0.0.0.0
second name: 0.0.0.0

please help

also, if anyone is on t mobile in the UK, can you try these settings? i'm using webviewer 1.7.6 i think.

thanks everyone

Well not too sure of the error that u r facing...
But i'm using the 1.8.4 version n it does the job even over a wap connection...
I'm using it to type this reply

nope, still can't use it, still says error -20019

------------------------------------------------------------
i've had to edit this post, it doesn't say error, it says status -20019

sorry

Well, I dunno about your operator, but with mine, I think the IPs need to be set in the advanced menu.

the advanced Ips are all set to 0 when using the normal gprs connection like for instant message 2 or oplayo or just viewing wap. so when i copied the settings over, there wasnothing in the advanced section to modify

nope, still says Status = -20019 and the words ERROR at the very top of the screen.

could it be something todo with the firmwire of the phone ive got 3.16 and it dont work on mine i want this app bad but if i cant get the trial version working im buying the full app it makes sence right?

that could be it, i have 3.16 now, i got the phone in Manchester two weeks before it's proper release date and it had a different firmware in it so i took it to the nokia service center and they flashed it for me. how do you know the proper version will work'?

i think it should work for 3.16 as i'm using 3.12 and it is working fine here ...

onli one thing i hate about it ... cant login to my yahoo mail .... it says that my device doesnt support https .... hmmm... wondering y it is complaining this cuz i tried to login using standard login not secure login ....

anybody have a clue ??

i read somewhere that hotmail uses a different login process and so it isn't supported by this program, maybe it's the same with yahoo though i'm not sure. you're lucky you got it working though.

Nk8,

I leave in France, but I have the same problem than you, I bought the phone in Uk in august like you....

I upgrade the Firmware to 3.16, I speak with Orange France many times, and say that it's work fine on there phone, but don't understand why my phone don't connect ot internet.

I think there is a maybe a problem with some phone buy in August??...

Today I connect to internet with an other access internet FREE, and it's work fine but it's not GPRS. try it.

For the GPRS, we have to find what 's wrong, may be find an other phone 7650 who is working change the sim carte between both and try it to find if the problem come from the phone, I am looking for an other 7650 but not yet....

keep in tuch about that problem, I follow this problem since august

7650 "does not" support Https connection, which "is" required to log into secure sites Yahoo or Hotmail or Banking etc. If someone says they could log into Yahoo or Hotmail, its possible they mean WAP, which is just fine.

Even if u were to log into yahoo/hotmail using Webviewer, you still wont be able to download anything anyway. You can only read the mails. This can be done on Wap as well, much faster and cheaper...

I have V3.16 on my 7650 and I'm using web viewer 1.8.1 without any problem.
nk8 Is your APN correct? Did you ask to your operator? It could be wrong APN...

I think that in 99.99% of the cases the problem lies in the Access Point Name. People try to use the WAP APN and in most cases it will not work with WebViewer&E-mail or any other Internet application.

Operators usually only give their own WAP/MMS services access points in Over The Air settings and leave the Internet settings hidden somewhere in their web-pages...

Check e.g. page:
http://www.taniwha.org.uk/gprs.html
For a proper Internet APN names.
(With 7650 you don't need to care about the DNS names, the phone gets them from the network.)

Hi

I wrote my own midlet, that send's information over internet. I also got this error, when my N7650 was set on english language. But whwn I changed it to my native language (slovene) it wored fine. Some users also got error "Incorect HTTP version" but I dont know if these errors are the same.

so you think it might work if i change the language on my phone? i dont understand any other languages though

I thought GPRS was supposed to be cheaper than Wap :-?

GPRS is supposed to be cheaper, but some subscribers have free wap times and such. Also, if you wanted to log in using Webviewer, it could burn a big hole in ur pocket since Html pages are lot "Heavy" in terms size as compared to Wap pages.

So, if u are paying your own bills, and if there's a service u could access through Webviewer as well as Wap, Wap would be a better option anyday.
