ported thru the symbian development platform? Is it worth loading with it? Iam asking because a lot of great apps are ported and i really didnt want that beta platform. Thanks.

As an OPL developer, I don't want to see this language dissapear - it has been one of the strengths of the platform. The applications metioned are very good and if OPL is to become a propper release and move out of the BETA then Nokia users should give it a go. In the case of ABP I use it to manage about 10 bank and credit card accounts and it is FREE!

If your asking what I think your answering the reason they are ported through OPL is becuse that was what they were written in on the ER5 platform and porting to ER6 (9210) takes relatively little effort than say rewriting in C++ (the other major option). Also one suspects many of the authors dont know C++.

Second are they worth using? Yes - these are some of the most mature ER5 apps and coming to ER6 is great.

Third OPL on the 9210 is stable, not everythign works perfectly but from what I've heard it does not crash the device or doing any damage. And with all the apps appearing we can only be optimistic about the chances of it being fully developed (more like bug fixed I'd say!)
