I have a Nokia E70, which was beginning to play up. Basically the phone started working very slowly, freezing and not allowing me to access and delete messages or emails.
As a result, i decided to reset the phone, by turning it off, then holding the 'abc' key (pencil icon), and turning back on. This resolved the initial problem, with the phone working perfectly....
However, it is now requesting a 'memory card password', and is not accessing the memory card data.
Problem is, I have never set a password!!!
How to I resolve it??!! Please Help me!!
Thanks, Mat :con?
Have you set remote locking on your phone? If so, the phone automatically locks the memory card as well. The password of the memory card is the same as your remote lock code, upto the first 8 or 10 characters.
It is always better to set a different password for the memory card or before resetting the phone, select remove password.
I had a similar problem when I updated the firmware for my e50. Nothing I did with the memory card/reader helped. It simply showed as no disk present in drive. No memory card recovery software also worked. It simply hard locks your memory card.
