E61: Accessing FULL Internet Via WAP

Is it possible to surf the internet through WAP on the E61?

If so are there any charges to do this?

I would be particularly interested to hear from anyone on the 02 network.

No. WAP gateways do some reformatting of content, and usually do not pass all protocols through anyway. And some operators also restrict which addresses/sites can be connected to via their WAP gateways.

You can of course call and ask O2 instead of depending on second hand info from a forum not affiliated with O2 in any way.

As N/A said, WAP is extermely limited. The 'Services' browser on the E61 is a WAP browser.

You can browse the 'full' web (with the exeption of Flash content and a few other things) using the 'Web' browser. It's Nokia's WebKit (Safari/KHTML)-based browser.

All you need are the appropriate access point settings, which 02 will provide you with. Charges are normally incurred on per-kilobyte basis or in some cases flat-rates apply. Again, contact O2 for details.
