Is it possible to change the style, layout and what is included on the frontpage, e.g. when all menus are closed on the phone?
Cheers

you mean the page when you have started your phone... or the page that shows you your menus.
the first you just need to add a wallpaper.. by assigning a photo... the latter you can go to options and choose either grid or list.
With other themes, but the place of things rest the same.
I mean the page when you first turn on the phone after everything has loaded.
So the page with the clock, and the bar with stuff to select in the middle.

Evereything will always be where it is, but you can change the applications, and you can change the theme so that it looks different
Have a look here for themes

How do I change the applications on this page?
yeah, themes are what you want.... best to have a good few to try as some have difficult text to read when you sms for example.
Im still talking about the front page. All I want to do is change some things on the front page, not the colours or look.
change them?? You can move them around... or make new directories, but most of them you are unable to delete. You can rename them too
I dont think you know what I am talking about.
Its the Main Screen, not the Menu screens or themes, or directories.
Just the first screen with the Clock, date, battery life, network, network signal. It has a few applications you can select in the middle, like a PSP menu.
ahhhhhhhh... you mean active desktop!!! 😉
theres a thread somewhere telling you how to change it. Am on the phone at the moment ...will update if you need it in a while
Menu - Tools - Settings - Phone - Stand-by mode - Active applications - Options - Change
