ok... how about...

1. removing the sim and turning phone on without it in... check status and then turn off re insert sim and check

2. trying a full phone reset.. although you'll loose some saved data so need to back up.

3. firmware update from NSU.

BTW, what f/w you on? (*#0000# incase you didnt know?) :icon14:

i have looked for firmware to update the phone but cant find it,

my firmware is v3.0617.0.6

I think is the same problem of first N73 firmware versions. It goes to offline, and then never returns to on-line. The only way on N73,was do a phone format:frown: Instead, is better do a phone upgrade to last firmware version. But do a backup first!

Go to nokia.co.uk - support pages for N80 - and do a download of Nokia Software Uppdater tool. Do the upgrade at your own PC!

i had a look on they pages m8s and can see any files for updating the firmware.

i got the Nokia Software Updater but it dont work

have you got the USB cable?? You'll need that to update the firmware either way, be it thru NSU or NSS and NSU. V3 has an evil history with glitches. And a search on google for your problem shows your not the only one to have it on N series phones!

I own a nokia E60,
i cannot change the profile, the phone stays in offline mode, and when i try to change it, it says "unable to change profile" I tried Nokia Software Updater, but without setting the phone to General mode, the program doesnt advance and it doesnt make the firmware update.
what can i do,
i tried hard reset, i tried different sim cards ....
pls help
thanks

Indeed. I believe the updater needs the phone to be in General profile to work, so catch-22. It sounds daft as it could stick the phone in that mode itself, but anyway.

Could just pop into a mobile shop and they may be able to sort it out. Failing that a Nokia service centre (or I believe you can now 'freepost' your phone to Nokia to fix).

my nokia n80 says offline

Ok, this happened to me, the only way i did get it back was using Phoenix 2006, i just set it to TEST MODE, then get it back to NORMAL MODE using the USB Cable then it was done 😎 . Hope this helps.

Cheers 😃
