If this message gets deleted, that's ok, but I have a major gripe. 😡 😡
I understand the US has export laws for valid reasons, but what I do not understand is why, as a US CITIZEN, who lives and works in Kuwait, cannot purchase products because I live in an area blocked by US export laws.
I had no problem DOWNLOADING various trial versions, but God forbid I try to BUY one! Once it was "discovered" I was with the military, everything was somewhat kosher--I still have to jump through hoops to get a special logon to be able to access the site to purchase my products.
What should it matter that I'm with the military??? I am a US CITIZEN. What would prevent me from 1) going to a country where there were no export restrictions, 2) buying the products, and then 3) bringing them back into Kuwait?
Or, better yet, have someone in the US buy it for me, and send it to me?
One of the main things I want to buy is a product Nokia should have included with their $800 phone to begin with: a decent clock! How absurd is it to spend this much money, and now have to spend add'l money for a simple clock, and then to be faced with this much aggravation?
