Hi
I have a new n73 and have a selection of games to add to it.
The problem is this .. I correctly plug in my N73 to the computer via USB.
My computer recognises the phone and all is well untill the installation bar completes on my phone.. then just as you think it has finished it says Unable to install.
If anybody could help with this I would REALLY appreciate it..
Many thanks
Jim

Then make sure you're trying to install apps for S60 3rd Edition (software for earlier versions do not install), if they are .sis/.sisx files.
i have had the same problem only mine started when the joystick broke and the nokia certified repair shop called blast updated the firmware, ever since i cannot install any games as they nearly get to the end of the installation bar and it just stops with the error:
unable to install
all the games are .SIS files and have been installed on both my phones and my fathers n80 before but now will not install to this phone
i have the software installation settings set to 'ALL' and the online certificate check 'OFF'
thanks in advance for any help
after vigourously trying different types of games i have come to the conclusion that the new firmware does not support java games as it used to.
could anyone tell me where i can get a java application for my phone as most games i get are .jar and there arent many .sis games
I had the same problem (but only with SOME apps), and I performed a 3 finger reset on the phone, plus erased all system files on my MMC, and it seems to work fine now.
Whats the 3-finger reset? Is it like the 3 sea shell trick from the Demolition man? 😉
Turn off the phone, and before turning it on press * + GREEN + 3 (3 keys, hence 3 finger reset 😊 ), and turn it on (while still pressing the three keys). Let go of the three keys when it asks for your PIN. This is how you reset the phone (note that all data in the phone memory - contacts, calendar, apps, etc. will be lost). You will need a card reader to manually erase all system files/folders on the MMC.
i have tried the three finger reset and it seems to have worked but just to be a pain... lol... how do i get the things like skype, wireless keyboard and the other software that came with it back on the phone??? btw thanks for the help
