Hi friends,
I am new to Nokia N73. Recently I have installed Tomtom Navigator 6.01 on my new Nokia N73 phone. Installation is perfect. The major problem is it could not connect to the GPS. When I set up an address to go it always say a message ''waiting for valid GPS signal'' but never connects...
Do I need to buy any GPS receiver for Nokia N73? Or Can I download and GPS driver from Internet? I am totally new to this Can some one explain about GPS stuff please!
Thanks,

Thanks,
You need a GPS receiver such as:
mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Bluetooth_GPS_Receiver_001&PARTNER=PriceRunner&Ref=DL001
Sorry I can't post a proper link as I don't have ten posts.
yeah the n73 doesn't have a built in GPS. You need to buy a bluetooth receiver.
Yeah You need to buy a GPS receiver, Its better to buy the 32 channel bt ones, You can get it from ebay for search as nokia gps receiver.
I got one favour to ask. I am also looking for tomtom 6.01 version to install it in my phone, Can you please tell me from where I can get it or how did you ger your copy.
It would be really big help for me if you can tell me about that
Regards
Mysticriver
Buy it from your local TomTom stockist of via the TomTom website at http://www.tomtom.com
Tom Tom can use the Holux GPS too which are very high rated, HOLUX
I also just purchased a N73 Music Edition, paired the phone with my Holux GPSlim 240 and then installed TomTom Navigator 6. I don't know it can't pick up the signal. Do I need to install the Holux USB driver into my phone?
Confused and Lost
You do not need to install any drivers to the phone.
Turn the GPS Receiver on, go to Bluetooth settings on the N73, select New Paired Device, select the GPS device from the resulting list, enter a passcode if requested (the code will be in the instructions of the GPS device) then once paired, set the GPS device as Authorised.
Now got to the GPS settings of TomTom, select "Other Bluetooth Device". When it finds the GPS device you have, select it.
GPS receivers need a reasonably clear sight of sky and will always take a couple of minutes max to acquire a signal from a cold start.
But you DO NOT need to install any drivers to the phone !!!
hiya.

Hi,
I just install TomTom on the N73 with no problems, everything works perfectly.
But, somehow the N73 LCD gets to dark with TomTom :con?
With daylight it is ti difficult the use of this navigation system. How can I bypass this issue? Did this happen to someone already? Could the 6.02 version solve this? Which are the differences between 6.01 and 6.02?
Best regards
