e61 faulty or what?

hi all,
i need help,,, i am from Italy and have this great device. but i have a prob. i lose signal when i put the phone on its back or my pocket or when i touch "NOKIA" on the phone's back. the prob is i went to nokia center and after many arguments with them i get a new e61 device which have the same prob!!!! Is all e61s like that or what??? please help as i got mad when i spent hours watching sadly the signal bars fall and i don't want to get another phone i like e61

No this is not normal, your phone has a problem. If the dealer does not recognize this problem he is an idiot.

HEY!! Surprisngly its happening on my e61 too!! I tried on 2 another E61's n its the same.. Seems to be there on all E61's? Nuts.. Stupid nokia!

I see in the Nokia manual that comes with the E61 that there are 2 antennas, one at the rear on the bottom and one at the rear where it says Nokia. I assume this is why it's happening.

Pressing/touching the back of my e61 (whether on the spot where it says Nokia or somewhere else) has no influence on signal strength (full strength 3G) in my case.

Since the Nokia sign is where the antenna is, touching it may make a weak signal worse, but it should not just go away whenever you touch it.

I have an E60 and it's antenna is also one the back. I noticed shortly after I bought it that if I laid the phone on its back that the signal would get weak (not go away but get weak). I have no problem receiving calls though, even when it's in my pocket.
