queries regarding Upgrade to N80i

You need to reflash to N80ie firmware, you currently have N80 firmware, it is possible to bring a dead phone back to life by reflashing several times untill the phone starts working, but I cant say this will happen in every case, if it does not then you will have to send your phone back, but they may not repair under warranty because you will void the warranty by upgrading yourself, if they notice.

Using NSS and NSU is a pretty foolproof way as long as you leave your phone for about 30 mins during the flashing process..

you just need NSS from the download links if you are upgrading with Euro firmware, (as long as you have Nokia Software Suite installed because you need the cable driver)

change the product code to Euro1 (seems to be the most popular), follow just the NSS part of the first post.

and then download and install NSU (nokia software updater) from Nokia site, plug your phone in and then upgrade the firmware.

yeah, works for me ok... you need to go to free unless you have an account with them and get the ticket to download... unless there is no wait.

Just upgraded with euro code 3 with nsu, worked like a treat(took like 10 mins)
