P990i crashed during SEUS!!!! — Sony Ericsson P990

Hi,

have recently recieved a new P990i phone on Orange (UK) and went to SE web to see if any upgrades available. Halfway through the flash upload the PC crashed saying dumping virtual memory. Unfortunatly the phone will now not start.

When turning the phone on the screen just flashes on and off and then shuts down!!!!!

Try SEUS again and says phone has the latest software but does not allow to re-install!

Tried on 2 seperate XP PC's to try and force re-install OS but without success.

Now have dead phone, any ideas on how to get the phone to re-start??

suggestions:

1. Return to Orange under warranty, they should be able to re-flash it
2. Try to find a SE Service Centre near you - they can reflash to a generic firmware
3. Try www.seunlock.com they may be able to unlock & unbrand and then re-flash for you

it's strange, even if u have the latest SE software, SE should ask u if want to continue anyway..then u say YES, then the reflash should start..

anyway, if u have no joy, contact us ....as like seunlock ....or others, we can debrand /unlock these phone ...no problem
