3 replies · 2,140 views · Started 19 December 2002

I'we read someware that there should be av version of AvantGo on the 2:nd CD included with the P800.

But i cant find it anywhere ?

Not even om www.avantgo.com page?

Anyone know if there is av version that works with P800 ?

It would make the best phone even better.

(Ps my new P800 beats the shit of my old nokia 9210 😃 )

On http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-p800-e.shtml
some guy called Eldar writes:

You can find the following applications on the second CD.

AvantGO - http://www.avantgo.com, this utility is well-known by the vast majority of PDA users.
Lotus Mobile Notes - Symbian OS client for Lotus Notes, it will be interesting for corporative users
Ebook reader - an application for reading books
TomTom http://www.tomtom.com - a Streetman application. It allows to find a route from point A to point B.
Citrix ISA Client Games - additional games, for example chess or race

Has anyone found any of these ?

Its no Problem.
You can do your own "avantgo":

First download webcopier from http://www.maximumsoft.com/downloads/
Then you make a new project called P800. After this you go
to www.pdaportal.de and search the pda-optimized webs for your P800.
Include the urls in your project and make them download a few times a day.
Insert your MStick in your MStick-Reader and let webcopier download it to a folder in document\offline (<- my Folder).
Then create a small website default.htm like this (with all dowloaded links):

<html>

<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<title>Oflline</title>
</head>

<body link="#C0C0C0" vlink="#C0C0C0" alink="#C0C0C0" text="#FFFFFF" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">

<p align="center"><b><font face="Arial" color="#000000">
</font><font size="4" face="Verdana" color="#808080">Offline Reader</font></b></p>
<hr>
<p align="center"><font face="Verdana">
<a href="www.spiegel.de/dertag/pda/avantgo/0,1958,r20=1@r21=1@r23=1@r10=1@r22=1@r24=1@r273=1@r19=1@r139=1@r140=1,00.html">
<font color="#00CC00">Spiegel</font></a><font color="#00CC00">
</font><font color="#000000">
<a href="www.heise.de/pda/newsticker/default.htm"><font color="#00CC00">Heise</font></a></font></font><font color="#00CC00" face="Verdana">
</font>
<font face="Verdana"><a href="www.zdnet.de/news/news-hc.html">
<font color="#00CC00">ZD-Net</font></a></font><font color="#00CC00" face="Verdana">
</font>
<font face="Verdana"><a href="www.tagesschau.de/mobileTSpic/default.htm">
<font color="#00CC00">Tagesschau</font></a><font color="#00CC00">
</font><font color="#000000"><a href="pda.heute.t-online.de/default.htm">
<font color="#00CC00">Heute T-Online</font></a></font><font color="#00CC00">
 </font></font></p>
<hr>

<p align="center"><b><font face="Arial" color="#000000">
<img border="0" src="loggo_Sony_Ericsson.gif" width="101" height="14">
 </font></b></p>

</body>

</html>

After this copy this site to the same folder and open this page on your P800 webbroser.
Open it with this URL: "file:///d:/media%20files/document/offline/default.htm" and bookmark it.

Thats all.... 😮 😮 😮

So have fun...
