Help me: BT Sync connection

3 replies · 2,209 views · Started 30 January 2007

I need some help. I have an IBM X41 tablet laptop. I just did a full factory system restore with everything installed on a clean system. My N73 has latest firmware (3.0638).

I cannot get the N73 to automatically connect via Bluetooth to my laptop for syncing with Outlook. If I go through the "Get connected" button and select "Bluetooth" it finds my N73 and then, after authentication, it connects to my laptop. I can then sync without problems.

However, after a few minutes, it automatically disconnects, and does not automatically reconnect anymore. I have to go through the "Get connected" menu every time. Also, after reboot of the laptop, it does not automatically connect to my N73.

Strangely, I have set up a paired connection on my Wife's pc (IBM T43) with her N73 in the same way. That works flawlessly and reconnects all the time.

Can anyone help?

I have exactly the same problem - on exactly the same setup.

My PC - a Lenovo X41.
My phone - a new N73 from Orange.

I can sync happily from PC Suite, but after a few minutes the phone disconnects, and I have to re-pair to sync again.

Makes syncing over bluetooth more or less useless.

Any help gladly received!!

me too, having the same Problem.

config: IBM Thinkpad X41 with Nokia 6680

i have tryed the last pc suite version (6.82...) and it was a very short connection
then i tryed an older version and the connection was very much longer - but then it breaks down.

now i have the idea that it is a problem with the ibm bluetooth software,
because, when i plug in a bluetooth ongle using pure microsoft drivers, it works without any problem.

so lets go to ibm and tell them that this problem should be fixed!

Hi Dudes,

I want to confirm if still issue is persisting to you. Because for me i am not facing any issues in connecting my pc with Nokia N 73 using Bluetooth connection.
