TomTom Navigator 6 on N73 slow — Nokia N71, Nokia N73 and Nokia N75

Please excuse me if i posted this in the wrong section, since the problem seemed N73 specific it seemed the best.

i have a brand new N73 with the latest generic Euro firmwares, it was previously a version 2 o2 UK branded phone, i got tomtom navigator 6 with the hopes it would be as good if not better than mobile 5 on my N70

alas it is lagging very badly while im navigating or even just running a demo, i have freed up as much memory as possible on the phone removed all POI's and turned off voices, i only have Great Britain map installed it has been installed onto a 1gig miniSD kingston card

but alas no joy it still runs like a dog

i have come accross mixed instances on the web of other n73 owners with similar problems and others who claim it runs just fine.

if you can help that would be grand! cheers:icon14:

Use search, there is a thread on the second page, I would post it but the bloody stupid forums rules won;t let me untill I have 10 posts.

lovesign seems to be able to run it ok, but tbh hes the only person I have found that can in all my forums travels trying to solve this issue.

I don't understand. I am using TomTom 6 on the N73 and it runs flawlessly. During navigation it keeps up great. Not slow at all. The only thing I can think of is the mini SD card. I use a Sandisk Ultra II card (2 Gb).
I first used an Emtac BT receiver. I now use a Nokia LD-3W. Both work fine.

thanks tspierings i have a bog standard kingston sd card, now i have heard people say that the memory card speed may make a difference and others say it does not

grrr very frustrating it is!
